Library

Students and their families are responsible for the school library books and textbooks that are checked out in their names. Students with books and textbooks that are lost or damaged beyond repair will be issued a fine according to the replacement cost of that book. They have the option of either paying the fine by check or exact cash or by buying a new copy of the book and donating it to the library. Some book damage can be repaired. In that case the librarian will assess the damage and charge a lower fine according to materials needed. Please contact the librarian if you have any questions.

There are no Overdue Fines for library books.  Kindergarten and first grade students may keep a book one week. Their books do not go home, but stay in their classroom. Second and third grade students may keep a book two weeks, and fourth through sixth grade students may keep a book for three weeks. Third through sixth grade students may renew their library books one time. Once a book is considered Overdue, the student may not check out any more books until the overdue book is returned. Overdue and Fine emails are sent out automatically every two weeks to the email address on file at the school. Additionally, notices may be sent home in a student's backpack.

Open Library times are for students to come into the library to return a book or check out a new one at a time other than their regular weekly library session. We offer three times per week:

Monday 10-10:30am & 2:45-3:15pm
Wednesday 9-9:30am & 2:45-3:15pm
